Both the master and slave DFSM cards are 4” X 5” cards with a Power Distribution Interface
(PDI) connector on the rear of the card. This section describes mounting these cards in an FACP
bay.
Use the following instructions and the figure below to mount the master DFSM card in an FACP
bay. The master card should be located in a position within the bay that positions the module
directly behind the key switch, which mounts to enclosure as shown in Figure 3 below.
1. Screw two standoffs and washers to the appropriate holes in the back of the cabinet.
These holes must line up with the screw holes in the 4” X 5” card. See Figure 3. The
card can be mounted with the wiring terminals at the top (top PDI row), or with the
terminals at the bottom (bottom PDI row).
2. Plug the 4” X 5” card into the PDI connector.
3. Secure the top of the card to the standoffs with two #6 torx screws and washers.
Figure 3. Mounting DFSM Master
The key switch mounting bracket attaches to the front of the FACP bay containing the master. It
mounts to the bay using two #6 screws and washers. The 4090-9001 IAM used with the master
snaps into a retaining bracket on the back of the key switch mounting bracket.
