seal of all the gas connections must be
tested, using soapy water or special pro-
ducts, avoiding the use of open flames.
The routine maintenance and check on
appliance and safety systems functioning
must be carried out at the end of every
season only by qualified technical person-
nel.
4.4.1
Heating circuit filter
cleaning
(fig. 19)
To clean t he f ilt er, close t he plant
input/return interception taps, switch off
the electricity supply of the control panel,
remove the boiler mantle and empty the
boiler from the discharge (8 fig. 6) until the
water gauge registers “zero”.
Place a recipient under the filter to collect
residues and proceed to clean it, removing
all impurities and calcareous encrustations.
Before refitting the cap with the filter,
check the o-ring seal.
4.5
FUNCTIONING
PROBLEMS
The main burner does not start, when
either heating water or sanitary water is
taken.
- The message “ALL 02” appears on the
control panel display: check and if neces-
sary replace the water pressure valve
(PA).
- The message “ALL 04” or “ALL 05”
appears on the remote control display:
there is a failure of one of the two sen-
sors: it must be replaced.
- The ventilator (V) functions but at a redu-
ced rate, and does not activate the
fumes pressure valve (PF): it must the-
refore be replaced.
– Verificare se c’e tensione alla valvola
gas.
- If the main burner still does not start up,
in spite of the above-listed checks, repla-
ce the electronic card.
The boiler starts but shuts down after 10
seconds.
- Check that the phase and neutral posi-
tions of the electrical connections are
correct.
- The ignition/det ection electrode is
defective: it must be replaced.
- The fumes pressure valve does not
cause commutation. Check that the
signal at the control points is higher than
the pressure valve setting. Replace the
pressure valve.
- The apparatuses are defective: they
must be replaced.
The sanitary water is hot, but with a
reduced flow.
- Check that the filter placed at entry to
the pressure valve is clean.
- Mains water pressure is too low: a
water pump, top tank, or similar system
must be installed.
- The heating circuit filter is blocked by
impurities (fig. 19): provide for cleaning.
Water taps give neither hot nor cold
water.
- The exchanger or sanitary water output
pipe is blocked by calcareous deposits:
provide for descaling.
Noises or crackles issue from the boiler
at the exchanger point.
- Check that the circulator (P) is not
blocked: if necessar y, pr ovide f or
unblocking.
- Free the circulator rotor of impurities
and accumulated sediment.
- Replace the circulator.
- Check that boiler power is adequate for
the real needs of the heating plant.
The boiler safety valve is frequently acti-
vated.
- Check that the filling tap is closed. Repla-
ce if it does not close perfectly.
- Check that the load pressure, when the
plant is cold, is not too high.
- Check that the safety valve maintains the
setting: replace if necessary.
- Check that the tank is large enough for
the plant water content.
- Check the pre-swollen pressure of the
header tank.
- Replace the header tank.
The main burner burns badly: too high fla-
mes, yellow flames.
- Check that the pressure of the gas to
the burner is regular.
- Check that the burners are clean.
The boiler works but does not increase
the temperature.
- Check that gas consumption is lower
than that foreseen.
- Check that the boiler is clean.
- Check that the boiler is proportionate to
the plant.
The ventilator works, but the burner does
not start.
- Check and if necessary unblock the small
fumes pressure valve pipes (PF) remo-
ving impurities or condensation.
– Verificare se c’e tensione alla valvola
gas.
- Replace the fumes pressure valve (PF).
The ventilator does not start.
- Check that the terminals of the activator
motor receive power.
- The electric coil of the motor is burnt
out: it must be replaced.
The gas valve is always at minimum flame.
- The modulator (M) coil is broken: it must
be replaced.
- The card does not send current (mA) to
the modulator (M): it must be replaced.
The boiler occasionally shuts down.
Check that the appliance connector is
firmly attached to the gas valve.
