f) Keep cutting appliances sharp and clean.
Properly maintained cutting appliances with
sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the appliance, accessories and appliance bits, etc. in accordance with these
instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed.
Use of the appliance for operations different from those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free from oil and grease.
Slippery
handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the appliance in
unexpected situations.
5) Service
a) Have your appliance serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the appliance is maintained.
Electric Heater Safety
WARNING: DO NOT cover the heater. Doing so may cause overheating and/or fire.
a) Connect the power plug only to an earthed socket with the rated voltage
b) The heater must not be installed below a socket outlet
c) Do not use the heater in a bathroom, anywhere near a shower or bath, swimming pool or in any
other humid environment
d) Do not place the heater on a moving vehicle or object, or somewhere it can be easily tipped over
e) When the heater is not in use for an extended period of time, unplug it for safe storage, and store
after it is fully cooled
f) Always unplug the power from the socket by gripping the plug; do not unplug the heater by
pulling or yanking the power cord
g) Always keep the power cord away from the hot air outlet
h) Do not leave the heater on for considerable amounts of time and do not leave it unattended
while in use
i) Always use the heater in well-ventilated areas, and do not position near a wall, in a corner, or
near any curtains or places where the air inlet may become blocked
j) When using the heater, ensure it is kept far from any combustible, explosive articles or explosive,
corrosive gases
k) Do not use the heater with a timer, programmer, or any other device that has a function to
automatically switch the heater on unattended
l) To minimise the risk of electric shock, never handle the heater, plug, or power cord with wet
hands. Always dry hands before touching the heater and do not use the heater to dry wet hands
m) If the power cord or plug becomes damaged, always have it replaced by an authorised
service technician
n) If the motor does not switch on after switching on the heater, stop using it immediately and let it
be repaired by an authorised service technician

Product Familiarisation
Intended Use
Electric fan heater with built-in thermostat control up to 45°C. For use in well-ventilated, dry areas
such as workshops and garages.
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your product. Fully familiarise yourself with all its features
and functions
• Ensure all parts of the product are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or
damaged, have such parts replaced before attempting to use this product
Before Use
Note: The Workshop Electric Fan Heater 2kW comes pre-built, and only minimal assembly is
required. (Fig. I)
Adjusting the heater angle
WARNING: Only adjust heater when not in use and the power is switched ‘OFF’.
WARNING: Heater may be hot. Wear protective, insulated gloves or wait until the heater has
cooled after use before handling the heater.
CAUTION: Always stand to the side of the heater to adjust the angle.
1. Loosen the Angle Adjustment Knobs (2) on the frame on either side of the heater
2. Position the heater to the desired angle (maximum 30°) by gently pressing down on the rear
of the body (see Fig. II)
3. Use one hand to hold the heater in position then tighten one of the Angle Adjustment Knobs
with the other hand
4. Tighten the second Angle Adjustment Knob
Operation
WARNING: Only use in well-ventilated areas away from combustible and/or flammable objects
or gases. Using the heater otherwise can result in fire.
WARNING: Never use in humid areas, such as bathrooms, or near baths, showers or pools.
Operating the heater in these areas could result in fire or electric shock.
Note: A slight smoke emission may be present on the heater’s first use; this is normal. If excess
smoke is constant and regular upon repeat use of the heater, switch off and contact an authorised
service technician.
Control panel
• The Thermostat Dial (6) can be adjusted (‘MIN’ to ‘MAX’) with the ‘MAX’ setting the thermostat’s
temperature at 45°C (see Fig. III)
• The adjustable Mode Selector Dial (5)(see Fig. IV) has three modes: Fan , 1000W ,
and 2kW
• OFF is ‘0’
From OFF ‘O’:
• Fan mode is one click of the dial turned to the right
• 1kW mode is two clicks of the dial turned to the right
• 2kW mode is three clicks of the dial turned to the right
Thermostat instructions
Note: The thermostat can be set to automatically control the desired room temperature (≤45°C).
1. Set the Thermostat Dial (6) to ‘MAX’ then switch the heater 'ON' to operate with full-power on
2kW mode by turning the Mode Selector Dial (5)
2. Once the room has reached the desired temperature, turn the Thermostat Dial toward ‘MIN’
until it switches ‘OFF’
3. The thermostat will now switch 'ON' and ‘OFF’ automatically to maintain the set temperature
Turning ‘OFF’ procedure
WARNING: The heater will become hot during use. It is recommended that you follow this
procedure and allow the heater a decent amount of time to cool before transporting or storing
the machine.
1. Turn the Mode Selector Dial (5) to the Fan mode and allow the heater to run for a
minimum of 2 minutes, which will help cool the heating element
2. Turn the Mode Selector Dial to ‘0’ to switch the machine ‘OFF’
3. Leave the heater to cool, then disconnect from power to store

Maintenance
• Ensure the heater is switched ‘OFF’, has been disconnected from the power source, and the
heater has cooled down before conducting any maintenance or cleaning
Cleaning
• Use a soft sponge dipped in warm soapy water to clean the enclosure of the heater, then
dry the enclosure with a clean cloth. Do not let water enter the internal parts of the heater
• Do not splash water on to the heater, and never use abrasives or solvents to clean the heater
• Check the Front Cover (4) and Air Inlet/Rear Cover (7) regularly to ensure that they are not
blocked or clogged. Dust can build up, which can become a fire hazard
