Operation
Switching on
• Press the
On/Off Button (2)
for a short time
Note:
To maximise battery duration, the device will power off automatically after a short period
of inactivity.
Unit selection
1. Switch the scales on (see ‘Switching on’)
2. Press the
Unit Selector Button (4)
repeatedly, to scroll through the available weight
units: kg, lb, oz (1kg = 2.2lb = 35oz)
Taking measurements
1. Switch the device on and set the desired unit
2. Attach the object to be weighed to the
Weighing Hook (1)
3. If needed, use the tare function to zero the display
4. Hold the scales on the
Handle (6)
and lift the device, until the object to be weighed
is hanging freely from the
Weighing Hook
5. The
LCD Display (5)
will now show the reading. It will reset to ‘0.00’ once the object is removed
from the
Weighing Hook
, or change to ‘HOLD’ once a stable display is achieved
WARNING:
If the attached weight exceeds the maximum weight capacity of the device,
‘O-LD’
will be
shown in the
LCD Display (5)
. Never attach objects to the
Weighing Hook (1)
that knowingly exceed
the weight capacity of this device (see ‘Specification’).
WARNING:
NEVER attempt to lift heavy items that are beyond your capabilities. Injury may occur.

Allumer l’appareil
• Appuyez sur le

Remarque

Sélection des unités
1. Allumer le peson (voir ‘Allumer l’appareil’).
2. Appuyez sur le bouton de
sélection des unités (4)
à plusieurs reprises, afin de faire défiler les
unités disponibles : kg, lb, oz (1 kg = 2.2 lb = 35 oz).
Prise de mesures
1. Allumez l’appareil et sélectionnez l’unité requise.
2. Attachez l’objet que vous pesez au
crochet de pesée (1)
.
3. Si nécessaire utilisez la fonction tare pour mettre l’affichage à zéro.
4. Soulevez le peson par la
poignée (6)
et soulevez l’appareil, jusqu’à ce que l’objet que vous pesez
pende librement du crochet de pesée.
5.
L’affichage LCD (5)
vous montrera la valeur. L’affichage reviendra à 0.00 une fois que l’objet est
enlevé du crochet de pesée, ou l’affichage changera à ‘HOLD’ une fois qu’un affichage stable
est atteint.
ATTENTION :
Si le poids attaché dépasse la capacité de pesée de l’appareil,
‘O-LD’
sera affiché sur
l’affichage LCD (5)
. N’attachez jamais d’objets sur le
crochet de pesée (1)
que vous savez risquent
de dépasser la capacité de pesée de cet appareil (voir ‘Caractéristiques techniques’).

2. Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the battery compartment

Tare function
Note:
The tare function is useful for incremental measurements, or when using an attached container
for measuring smaller objects.
• With the scales switched on, press the
Tare Button (3)
at any time to reset the display to ‘0.00’
Maintenance
Cleaning
• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and
shorten the device’s service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth.
If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes (where applicable)
Changing the batteries
• The batteries must be changed when the
LCD Display (5)
shows the low-battery
symbol (refer to ‘Inserting batteries’)
• DO NOT dispose of batteries with household waste. Recycle according battery disposal regulations
Storage
• Remove batteries and store separately before long-term storage
• Store this device carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children
Disposal
Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of tools that are no longer functional and are
not viable for repair.
• Do not dispose of tools, batteries or other waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), with
household waste
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose of tools
and batteries
Fonction tare
Remarque :

Entretien
Nettoyage
• Gardez l’appareil propre. La poussière et la saleté provoquent l’usure rapide des éléments internes
de l’appareil, ce qui réduit sa durabilité. Utilisez une brosse souple ou un chiffon sec pour le
nettoyage. Si possible, nettoyez les orifices de ventilation à l’air comprimé propre et sec.
Changement des batteries
• Les batteries doivent être changées lorsque

charge (voir ‘Insertion des batteries’)
• Ne jetez PAS les batteries avec les ordures ménagères. Recyclez les batteries conformément aux

Rangement
