As soon as the water boils, the kettle (8) switches off. The ON/OFF switch (5) automatically
returns to the upper position and the status display in the ON/OFF switch (5) goes out.
Pull out the power cable (6) plug from the socket, remove the kettle (8) from the base (7) and
pour out the water.
DANGER of burn injuries
Never touch the housing of the kettle (8) during and immediately after
operation. Only use the handle (3) to hold or carry the kettle (8).
Hot steam is released when the water boils. Make sure not to burn yourself.
Wear an oven glove, if necessary. Turn the kettle (8) so that the steam is
directed away from you.
DANGER of burn injuries
Always make sure that the
lid (1) is on when pouring water. Hot water could otherwise flow out of the
opening at the top used to fill the kettle.
8. Maintenance/cleaning
DANGER of burn injuries
Wait until the kettle (8) has cooled down completely before cleaning it.

DANGER of electric shock
Always remove the plug from the power socket before cleaning commences.

Do not pour or spray any liquids onto the base (7) or immerse it into water or
any other liquids. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock and a fire hazard
due to short circuits.
WARNING of damage to property
Do not use any scratching or abrasive cleaning agents or abrasive objects
(such as a metal scourer) for cleaning purposes. Otherwise the kettle (8) may
be damaged.
Rinse the inside of the kettle (8) with clear water.
Clean the outer surfaces of the kettle (8) or base (7) with a slightly damp cloth. Use some
washing up-liquid on the damp cloth for stubborn stains. Make sure to remove any detergent
residue from the kettle (8) and base (7) before using the kettle (8) again. Dry the kettle (8) and
base (7) thoroughly before the next use.
You can use a cleaning or bottle brush with a long handle to remove stubborn
stains from inside the kettle (8).
