In the event of scale deposits:
Scale deposits on the bottom of the appliance lead to increased energy con-
sumption and reduce the service life of the appliance.
Descale the appliance as soon as scale deposits become apparent.

Before descaling, remove the pourer sieve

(see chapter "Removing/
replacing the pourer sieve").
■
Use a descaler designed for household appliances (e.g. for coff ee machines).
Proceed as detailed in the instructions provided for the use of the decalcifying
agent.
■
After descaling, rinse the appliance with lots of clean water.
Removing/replacing the pourer sieve
1) Open the lid.
2) Pull the pourer sieve

upwards out of its holder.
3) Clean the pourer sieve

with a lightly moistened dishcloth and under running
water.
4) After cleaning it, replace the pourer sieve

. Ensure that the restraint
engage and that the pourer sieve
6
is fi rmly seated.
NOTICE
►
Should the scale deposits in the pourer sieve
6
be fi rmly established, lay
it in a water-vinegar solution having a ratio of 6:1 for a few hours. The
scale deposits will dissolve themselves. Rinse the pourer sieve
6
with lots
of clear water.
Storage
■
Allow the appliance to cool down completely before putting it into storage.
■
Wind the power cable around the cable winder

under the base

Store the appliance at a dry location.
