will continue to flash blue
during the brewing time. During the set brewing time, the water runs continu-
ously through the handle into the brewing chamber . Once the brewing
time is finished, the

signal (the
button
lights up in blue if you have set the temperature to
100°C
). The button will no longer be lit.
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
►
Never reboil tea after it has brewed. A reaction can cause the tea to froth
up and bubble out of the spout of the appliance. There is a risk of injury
and property damage!
The appliance now enters the keep-warm mode for about 30 minutes. The keep-
warm mode only activates if the set temperature is
70°C
,
80°C
or
90°C
. The
button will light up red. When the water temperature drops below the set
temperature, the appliance will boil the water again. If you remove the jug
from the base in keep-warm mode, the mode will pause and the
button
will flash blue/red in alternation. If you do not place the jug back onto the
base within 5 minutes, the appliance will switch off automatically and enter
the standby mode as soon as you place the jug on the base . If you place
the jug back onto the base within 5 minutes, keep-warm mode continues
and the
button
flashes in red again. Pressing the
button
manually
switches off the keep-warm mode. The brewing time is automatically reset to
0 min
.
NOTE
You can also use the appliance as a kettle for boiling water.
►
Always remove the permanent filter and brewing chamber to use the
appliance as a kettle for boiling water.
►
Set a brewing time of
0 min
and a temperature of
100°C
. The keep-warm
mode is inactive with these settings.
►
Fill the jug no further than up to the
MAX
mark to ensure that no boiling
water can spill out, but do fill it at least up to the
MIN
mark.
Overheating protection
If the appliance overheats, the overheat protection automatically switches off the
heating element inside the appliance. The
button
flashes blue/red, but the
appliance no longer heats up.
The overheating protection is activated if the appliance is switched on even
though the jug contains no or not enough water.
If the heating element was switched off by the overheating protection, allow the
appliance to cool down before using it.
