of protection who do not respond
to overheating (e.g. diabetics,
persons with skin changes caused
by illness or scarred skin areas
in the application area after using
analgesics or alcohol). There is
a risk of receiving skin burns.

heating pad may not be
used for very young children
(0–3 years), as they are unable
to react to overheating. There is
a risk of receiving skin burns.
This heating pad may not be used
by young children (3–8 years)
unless the control unit was set by
a parent or a supervising person
and the child was adequately in-
structed on the safe use of the
heating pad. There otherwise is
a risk of burns.
This heating pad may be used by
older children age 8 and up, and
persons with diminished physical,
sensory or mental capacities or
lacking experience and know-
ledge when supervised and in-
structed on the safe use of the
heating pad and understand the
associated risks.
