Open the lid (10) by pressing the lid release button (9)
Carefully reach into the kettle (4),
take hold of the top edge of the
scale filter (1) and pull it upwards
out of the holder (2). Please note
that the holder (2) must
not
be
removed.
Place the scale filter (1) into a warm
descaling solution for household
appliances (e.g. for coffee
machines) for a few hours and then
rinse it well in clean water.
Replace the scale filter (1) by
inserting it into the lateral guides on
the holder (2) from above.
Close the lid (10) by pressing down on it until it clicks into place.
Storage when not using the product
If the kettle is not to be used for an extended period, store it in a clean and dry place.
Allow the kettle (4) to cool completely before storing it.
Wrap the power cord (7) around the cord wrap under the base (5) and store the kettle in a
safe and dust-free place.
Troubleshooting
If your kettle does not work as normal, follow the instructions below to try to solve the problem. If
working through the tips below does not fix the fault, please contact our hotline (see "Warranty
information" section).
The stainless steel electric kettle does not work
The mains plug is not plugged in. Insert the mains plug into a wall outlet.
The wall outlet is defective. Test the appliance in a different wall outlet that you are certain is
working.
The kettle (4) is not switched on. Press the ON/OFF switch (6) down to switch on the kettle (4).
The kettle (4) has overheated and the overheating protection is preventing it from switch on.
Wait until the kettle (4) has cooled down. Fill the kettle (4) with at least 0.5 litres of water up to
the "MIN 0.5L" mark inside the kettle (4).
