If you are removing the processor so that you can return the node board to SGI,

install a PnP cap in the socket.

Install a Processor

Note:

A black pick-and-place (PnP) cap is attached to the load plate to protect the CPU

socket.

Press the load lever down and away from the retention clasp to release the load
plate from its locked position.
