B: IPMI 2.0 Management Utility
Users and Groups
Click on this icon to activate the Users & Groups submenu.
•
User Management
: This window displays the user’s information.
•
Existing users
: Select an existing user for information updates. Once a user is selected, click
on the “Lookup” icon on right to view user information.
•
New user name
: Enter new user name in this field.
•
Full user name
: Enter full user name in this field.
•
Password and Confirm Password
: Type the user’s password in the field and then type the
password again in the next field to confirm it. The password must be 4 characters or longer.
•
Email Address
: Enter the user’s email address in the field. (Optional)
•
Mobile Phone
: Enter the user’s mobile phone number in the field. (Optional)
•
Group Membership
: This field indicates the group that the user belongs to. To select a
group, click on the group name on the “Not Member Of” window to select it, then click on
the backwards arrow to enter the group name in the Group Membership field. Reverse the
procedure to remove the user from a group.
•
IPMI Privilege Level
: Click on the arrow key on the right to activate the Privilege Selection
menu. The IPMI Privilege Level contains five categories: No Access, User, Operator,
Administrator and OEM.
•
Create
: Click on this button to enter a new user’s or group information in the User/Group
Management fields.
•
Modify
: Click on this button to modify a user's or group information in the User/ Group
Management fields.
