NORMAL OPERATING PROCEDURES
Once the toilet is flushed or water leaves your bathtub or shower, the waste
(both human waste and toilet paper from the toilet or dirty water from the
bathtub or shower) enters the macerating unit. As the water level within the
unit begins to rise, the micro-switch located in the pressure chamber is
activated. This triggers the motor which in turn drives the pump and blades
to shred the incoming sewage into an easy-to-pump fluid form. The
converted waste is then gathered by the impeller and discharged into the
sewer through a drainage pipe of about 3/4 – 1 inch in diameter.
Caution: For safety reasons, the macerating unit must not be operated when
its lid is either detached or not properly attached.
