The following applies from ratification in national law of the
European directives 2002/96/EC and 2006/66/EC: Electri-
cal and electronic devices including batteries must not be
disposed of in domestic waste. The consumer is required by
law to return electric and electronic devices including bat-
teries to the specially designated public collection points or
to the point of sale at the end of their service life. National
laws describe the details of this procedure. The symbol on
the product, the instructions or the packaging refer to these
requirements. You can make a valuable contribution to the
protection of our environment by helping to recycle old de-
vices/batteries, the materials they contain, or by using other
forms of recycling.
