1. Warranty information
In order to carry out installation correctly, we
strongly recommend this document is read very
carefully. This will ensure your own safety and
the operating reliability of the device.
Your device has been quality controlled, tested
and is ready for use. Please observe all warnings
and information which are marked either directly
on the device or specified in this document.
Warranty can only be claimed for components
supplied by SIKO GmbH. If the system is used
together with other products, the warranty for
the complete system is invalid.
Repairs should be carried out only at our works.
If any information is missing or unclear, please
contact the SIKO sales staff.

IF09I/1 with standard protocol S3/00 (for AEA)
The Interbus-Gateway
IF09/1
(standard) allows to

connect a SIKO
AEA-SA02
(special version 02 of
the translation module for the absolute magnetic
length measurement system) to an Interbus sys-
tem. The IF09/1 transmits the positional value of
the connected device in form of a 4-byte value.
Out of the 32 available bit, the positional value of
the
AEA
is thansmitted in the bits 0 to 23, righta-
ligned and as a binary two's complement. Bits 24
to 31 are status bits according to the (adapted)
ENCOM profile

Attention!
A programmation of the connected
AEA-SA02, as it would be possible with K3 profile,
is presently not possible.
IF09I/1 with SIKONETZ4 protocol S3/07 (for
AP09/1)
By means of the Interbus gateway IF09I/1 up to
8 SIKO AP09 rotary encoders can be linked to one
Interbus system. Within an Interbus station the
IF09I/1 is a subscriber with a data width of n *
32 Bit dar (n = 1..8; the variable n represents the
number of connected AP09s).
The position values of the connected AP09s are
transferred right justified in bits 0 to 23 of the
associated 32bit block (as binary two's comple-
ment value). Bits 24 to 31 serve as status and
control bits in accordance with the ENCOM profile
K3
used.
The connected AP09 can be parameterized via the
IF09I/1 by means of the control bits. The follo-
wing parameters are available for this purpose:
steps per revolution,
direction of rotation,
calibration value,
comma position,
Reset of AP09 to default values.
