Position value valid
The bits B0 to B23 contain the actual position
value of the connected encoder. It is represented
as a two-complement value in binary form and is
right justified. Bit 23 is to be intepreted as an
arithmetical sign. The value range that can be ex-
pressed is, therefore specified as -2
23
... +2
23
- 1.
Caution! (only SIKONETZ4 protocol)
The display
range on the connected encoder (AP09/1) that
can be displayed is limited to -19999 ... +99999.
Values beyond this range are indicated as FULL on
the display of the AP09/1.
Bit 24 is of no importance. Bits 25 ... 28 and 30 ...
31 are control and status bits. If they all are set to
0, then this corresponds to the OPERATION state,
and on bits B0 to B23 a valid actual position value
is output.
An invalid actual position value is indicated by a
set bit at the Bit31 position. Additionally, a bit
combination at the B25 ... B28 positions indica-
tes the cause of the error. In the example shown
below the value
1100
is shown as the error code
which corresponds to the error "No connection
with the encoder".

8. Description of the
parameterization data
(only SIKONETZ4 protcol S3/07)
The parameters of a profile K3 subsciber can be
transferred to the subscriber via bits 0 to 24 of the
process data word. To enable this, the subscriber
must be set to the parameterization state. This is
achieved by the output of a paramter no. unequal
0 on bits 25 to 28 of the process data word. The
IF09I/1 acknowledges the paramerization state by
setting bits B31 and B30 and returning the para-
meter number on bits 25 and 28.

If the master sends a process data word to IF09I/1
with Bit 30 set, then the display of the encoder
(AP09) connected to the IF09I/1 is set to the ca-
libration value. If the calibration value = 0, then
this results in setting the AP09 display to zero.
APU:
Display per revolution; this parameter is used to
change the encoder resolution, i.e. how many
steps are executed per revolution.
