Installation and connection of pick-up types VSAPPS and VSAPPSHT
The output signal of VSAPPS und VSAPPSHT (high temperature) pick-up is a square-wave
pulse signal; the signal voltage is approx. 1 V less than the auxiliary power. The signal output
is not electrically isolated and designed as PNP or NPN switching.
Manually screw (clockwise) the pick-up into the turbine meter
thread until the limit stop.
There are two marks arranged opposite each other on the
VSAPPS pick-up casing just above the type plate. The marks on
the VSAPPSHT pick-up are located at the upper end of the thread.
Rotate the pick-up anticlockwise until the marks face the direc-
tion of the pipe
Subsequently use the counter nuts to fix the pick-up.
The pick-up is connected via a 3-core shielded connection cable with a 4-pole coupler socket
M12x1.
Important:
We recommend the use of shielded connection cables only. Connect the shield on one side at
the evaluating device to earth.
