Excitation frequency:
The function
Excitation frequency
is in-
tended for setting the excitation frequency of
the field coil current. Because of the induct-
ance of the field coils the maximum frequen-
cy is limited and that’s why it can’t be as-
signed freely.
The factory-set for the excitation frequency
is 6.25 Hz.
After choosing the desired function using the
key
or
and pressing Enter, the follow-
ing selection field will be displayed:

Caution! Reference calibration re-
quired!
If the excitation frequency is changed,
a reference calibration (
calibration on / off", p. 41) must be ac-
complished!
Otherwise the measuring accuracy is
not ensured.
Mains frequency:
To provide the optimum interference sup-
pression the mains frequency is needed and
the function
Mains frequency
is intended to
enter this parameter.
The default setting is 60 Hz.
After choosing the function

Flow direction:
This function is intended to define the flow
direction that is taken into account by the
display electronics.
That way for example the setting "
forward
"
will prevent reverse flow from being meas-
ured.
After selecting the function
