1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1.1 Each solar water heater has to be confronted with the general
requirements imposed by European standards related to flat solar thermal water
heaters quality and performance evaluation.
Standards are :
I ) ΕΝ 12975 – 1 ( solar collector general requirements )
II ) ΕΝ 12975 – 2 ( qualification tests of glazed liquid solar collectors ).
III) ΕΝ 12976 – 1 (solar water heating system general requirements)
IV) ΕΝ 12976 – 2 ( thermal performance of solar domestic water heating
systems) .
1.2 Solar water heater labeling
On each solar collector an ineffaceable distinctive label is been stuck (
upwards and on the left side ) , containing the following data :

Manufacturer name

Solar water heater type

Serial number

