BASIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
This monitor stand has been developed for use with a monitor on a fixed desk top. The monitor stand serves to raise the height of the monitor and
to provide the charging options described in these instructions for use.
Designated use
The Sigel smartstyle monitor stand has been developed primarily to charge smartphones, tablet computers and other devices that can be char-
ged via a USB interface or by induction. It should be used for this purpose only and in the way described in these instructions for use. Please also
refer to the manufacturer’s specifications and the instructions for use for the devices being charged.
Foreseeable misuse
The monitor stand cannot be used as a USB hub. It does not enable data transfer between the individual USB ports.
Safety precautions during the set-up and operation of the stand

Protect the product and mains adapter from moisture – danger of electric shock! If moisture has penetrated the stand, the safety of the com-
ponents should be tested by a qualified technician before further use.

Check the product, cable and mains adapter for possible damage before use. If you notice obvious signs of damage or strong fumes coming
from the product, disconnect it from the mains immediately and do not use it any more.

Set up the product close to an easily accessible power socket. Ensure that the product can be completely disconnected from the power
supply at any time.

When running the mains cable, ensure that it cannot be stretched, squashed or bent, and that nobody will trip over it. Take especial care that
the socket and mains cable outlet cannot be accidentally damaged.

Disconnect the product and mains adaptor from the power supply during thunderstorms or if the product is not in use for a long period of
time.

Do not use near flammable substances or in an environment where there is a risk of explosions. Do not use near heat sources, heater vents or
in direct sunlight. Only use when the ambient temperature is between 0° and 40°C.

Always disconnect by pulling on the plug, not the cable. Never touch the plug with wet hands.

Only use the product with the enclosed mains adapter.

Place and use the product out of the reach of children.
Safety precautions when cleaning, transporting and storing the product

Disconnect the plug from the mains before transporting, cleaning or storing the product.

Do not attempt to open, alter or repair the product yourself. Do not drop, drill holes in or break the stand, or expose it to high pressure. Con-
tact your retailer if the stand needs repairing.

Clean the product with a damp cloth. Never use fluids such as water, household detergent, petrol, alcohol or paint thinner to clean the stand.
Do not exceed the maximum weight of 5 kg when placing items on the stand.
