MAINTENANCE OF INSTATION TEST SET
4.8.1 Recommended Spares
Switching the Test Set off, using the rocker switch on the front panel, does
NOT
guarantee isolation from the mains.
The mains plug must only be fitted with a 3 A or 5 A fuse.
Recommended spares:
mains lead
test jack cable

This is a 25 way male D-Type connector to 25 way male D-
Type connector with two metres of cable with straight
through connections with at least pins 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and
20 connected.

This is a 9 way female D-Type connector to 25 way male D-
Type connector with two metres of cable with the following

4.8.2 Periodic Testing
Equipment must be regularly tested with a PAT (portable appliance tester).
Results must comply with the following limits OR with the values in the relevant
clauses of the IEE wiring regulations in force at the time if they are more stringent.
Earth bonding impedance <= 0.1 Ohms (Testing Case, Front panel and panel on
which PC sits).
Insulation impedance > 100 MOhms
Flash test impedance > 1 MOhms
Leakage during flash test < 3 ma
