Connecting power cables
Information about input and output connections is provided in the dimension drawing.
6.8.2
Procedure
Outgoing cable
The positions of the output terminals are shown in the dimension drawing.
1. Open the cabinet.
2. If a control rack is present, then push it out of the way.
3. Attach the grounding cone to the grounding sphere to ground the busbar.
4. Route the cable to the appropriate output terminals using post insulators.
5. Attach the cable lugs using M10 screws tightened to the specified torque.
6. Remove the grounding cone.
Incoming cable
The positions of the input terminals are shown in the dimension drawing.
1. Remove the front access plates.
2. Remove the polycarbonate covers.
3. Route the cable to the appropriate input terminals.
4. Attach the cable lugs using M10 screws tightened to the specified torque.
5. Fasten the cable to the supports provided.
6. Ground the cable shields to the grounding plates
7. Remount the polycarbonate covers and front access plates.

Shield connection
Only use shielded medium-voltage cables to reduce cable-conducted radio frequency
interference (RFI) and to achieve the appropriate EMC compatibility.
● The cable shield must be uninterrupted over the complete length of the cable and must
comprise non-magnetic material. Preferably use cables with foil-type shields.
● Do not connect other cable shields, power cables or control signals to the motor cable
shield. Powerful electrical interference and disturbances are induced in cables such as
these.
