Updating Windows
Regularly and promptly loading software updates is an important element of a comprehensive
security concept. Software updates play an important role in ensuring stable system operation
when it comes to closing security gaps that have been identified.
Automatic Windows updates are activated in the factory. The "Windows Update Server" is the
default source for Windows updates.
Before carrying out an update, create recovery points for both "C:" and "D:" partitions. Carry out
pending Windows updates. You can connect the IPC to the company's own Windows update
server.
Additional information
Additional information relating to recovery points is provided in Chapter "Setting recovery
points (Page 29)" and in the Microsoft Windows Help.
