Applications
This electrical machine has been designed for a wide range of drive and energy conversion
applications. The machines are characterized by extreme ruggedness, long service life, and
overall reliability. They are also highly versatile, allowing them to be tailored to specific
functions.
Details of the supplied machine and permissible operating conditions can be found in this
documentation.
The machine was designed in accordance with the ordering party's specification and may only
be used for the contractually agreed purpose. The permissible operating conditions are
specified on the rating plate. The technical data are described in the catalog.
Type of protection Ex tc
This machine is designed in the "Protection through enclosure" (Ex tc) type of protection
according to IEC / EN 60079‑0 and IEC / EN 60079‑31. It may, therefore, be operated in
hazardous areas in the presence of non-conductive, combustible dust in Zone 22 according to
IEC / EN 60079‑10‑2.
WARNING
Explosion hazard
This machine is not designed for use in the following areas:
● Explosive gas atmospheres.
● Areas in which an explosion hazard exists due to hybrid mixtures.
● Areas with dust of explosive materials.
● Dust explosion protection areas with conducting dusts
● Areas with pyrophoric materials.
An explosion can occur if the machine is operated in these areas. This can result in death,
serious injury or material damage.
Never operate this machine in the above mentioned areas.
Machine design
The regulations and standards used as the basis to design and test this machine are stamped
on the rating plate.
