Basic settings
You make the basic settings for remote configuration via the menu bar and the Windows
system settings.
1.
Select "Basic Settings" in the menu bar.
2.
Under "Global Data Directory", use the "Browse" button to specify the root directory in
which a separate device directory is created for each device. The private key of the
respective device is stored in the device directory and its configuration file is saved there.
3.
Set the "Language" for the interface of the remote configuration.
4.
Close the dialog box with the "OK" button.
The other settings are located in the Windows Control Panel:
1.
In the Windows Start menu, select "Start > Settings > Control Panel > Set PG-PC
Interface". The "Setting PG-PC Interface" dialog appears.
2.
Select a network adapter which has been detected on the PC. Only devices within a
PROFINET network can be remotely configured.
