Introduction
This instruction manual supplements the
instruction manual for the type SIMOVAC
non-arc-resistant and SIMOVAC-AR arc-
resistant medium-voltage controllers, and
describes the supplemental features of the
Siemens integrated electrical racking system
(SIERS).
Refer to the instruction manual IC1000-
F320-A105-XX-4A00 for the specific
controller.

The SIERS electrical racking mechanism
option allows the operator to close/connect
and open/disconnect the isolating switch for
the SIMOVAC and SIMOVAC-AR medium-
voltage controllers while standing at a
location remote from the controller
compartment.
