Insulation between the TP ports
Between the TP ports, an insulation voltage of 1.5 kV is adhered to (corresponds to
IEEE802.3, Section 33.4.1.1, Environment B).

Reset button - resetting the configuration to the factory settings
SCALANCE S switches have a reset button. The reset button is located on the rear of the
housing below the M32 plug immediately above the C-PLUG.

Note
Make sure that only authorized personnel has access to the SCALANCE S device.
What does the reset button do?
Two functions can be triggered with the reset button:

Restart
The device is restarted. The loaded configuration is retained.
●
Reset to factory settings
The device is restarted and reset to the status set in the factory. A configuration loaded
on the SCALANCE S device or on an inserted C-PLUG is deleted.
