6 Mounting, installation
The Loop isolator (100V) is used in a voice alarm and announcement system and
is able to isolate short-circuits on loudspeaker lines.
The PCA2013 Spelsberg i 16-L Li Box must be used to protect the Loop isolator
(100V) from environmental influences and dangerous electrical voltages.
WARNING
Voltages of up to AC 100 V at the component terminals
Contact with live parts can lead to electric shock and may be fatal!
●
De-energize all lines before performing any installation or maintenance work.
●
De-energize the loop before performing any installation or maintenance work.
●
Ensure the lines cannot be re-energized inadvertently.
Preparation
The mounting / installation procedure depends on the place of installation and the
way in which the Loop isolator (100V) will be mounted.
1.
Determine the place of installation:
– Mounting outside a switch cabinet
– Mounting inside a switch cabinet
2.
Determine the type of mounting:
– On a level surface
NOTICE
Using the Loop isolator (100V) in a damp, wet, or dusty environment.
Damage to the Loop isolator (100V) caused by dust or moisture.
●
Always mount the Loop isolator (100V) inside a PCA2013 housing
NOTICE
Mounting the Loop isolator (100V) on loud speakers
Malfunction of the Loop isolator (100V) caused by magnetic field.
●
Never mount the Loop isolator (100V) direct to loud speakers.
