FCC Requirements - Part 68

This equipment complies with Part 68 of the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) Rules and Regulations. On
the bottom is a label that contains, among other information, the FCC Registration Number and Ringer Equivalence
Number (REN) for this equipment. If requested, this information must be provided to the telephone company.

FCC Registration Number:

ABK USA-34988-AL-E

USOC telephone jack:

RJ31X

Ringer Equivalence Number (REN): 0.4B

The REN is useful to determine the quantity of devices which may connect to the telephone line.  Excessive REN’s on
the telephone line may result in the devices not ringing in response to an incoming call.  In most, but not all areas, the
sum of the REN’s should not exceed five (5.0). To be certain of the number of devices that may be connected to the line,
as determined by the total REN’s, contact the telephone company to determine the maximum REN for the calling area.

If the FS-DACT equipment causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone company will notify you in advance
that temporary discontinuance of service may be required. If advance notice is not practical, the telephone company
will notify you of the discontinuance as soon as possible. Also, you will be advised of your right to file a complaint with
the FCC if you believe it is necessary.

The telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, operations or procedures that could affect the
operation of your telephone equipment. If this happens, the telephone company will provide advance notice so that
you can modify your equipment as required to maintain uninterrupted service.

If you experience trouble with the FS-DACT Board for repair and/or warranty information please contact an authorized
Siemens Fire Safety representative.

If the trouble is causing harm to the telephone network, the telephone company may request you disconnect to
equipment from the network until the problem is solved. You should not attempt to repair this equipment yourself. This
equipment contains no customer or user serviceable parts.

This device may not be used on public coin or party line services.

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Siemens Fire Safety could void your authority to operate this
equipment.
