Installation of the PC Software and Machine Software
To ensure trouble-free operation of the CNC module with USB connection‐
with a standard PC you must install the current version of the machine soft‐
ware from 20-13-xx or higher and the corresponding PC software from
8.145M with integrated USB driver.
The USB drivers are automatically installed with the PC software, when prop‐
erly installed.
Please download the current version of the machine software and PC soft‐
ware inclusive USB driver from www.sieb-meyer.de <Url url="www.sieb-
meyer.de"/> > Downloads. Log in with your assigned password and use the
PC installation named
SetupCNC46USB-x.xxx.exe or SetupCNC48USB-
x.xxx.exe.
Install the PC software before you connect the PC via the USB interface of
the CNC module with USB connection (see chapter 6 "Software and Driver
Installation", page 25 ).
Install the software as required for the CPU card installed in your CNC. If you
install a wrong software version, an error message will appear on the screen.
To find out which CPU card is installed in your CNC, look at the layout of the
CPU card, for example

Hint for CNC 46.00:
▶ When using the USB↔ISA adapter with the CNC 46.00 you do not have
to meet specific requirements towards the software version and the CPU
card, since the CPU card 46.01.0001 of the CNC 46.00 generally
provides 2 MB RAM.
Hint for CNC 48.00:
▶ Machine software SM/EX-48-20-13:
Together with the machine software SM/EX-48-20-13 SIEB & MEYERre‐
commends using the USB↔ISA adapter together with CPU cards of min.
2 MB RAM (48.01.0012B, 48.01.0022A, 48.01.0022B).
▶ Machine software SM/EX-48-19-28:
Together with the machine software SM/EX-48-19-28 recommends using
the USB↔ISA adapter together with CPU cards of min. 1 MB RAM will be
sufficient (48.01.0012A).
