9. Select the PROFINET I/O Controller in the selection list.

10. Select “Device x (EL6631)” and run the scan. Confirm “Devices should be reloaded

before scanning!” with “Yes”.

11. Select the found gateway and click on the button “Add Devices”.
12. Confirm the inquiry “OnlineScan for real configuration?” with “Yes”. Now, another

scan reads the current gateway configuration.

Then, the gateway will be entered in the Solution Explorer containing all available drives.

Add and configure several gateways

1. If several gateways are connected, select one gateway after the other as described

above.

2. Via the button “Start Flash” you can check the assigned real device. Then, the LED

“SF” of the corresponding gateway flashes.
