Checking the functioning of the encoder
Encoder with analog interface
To verify the proper operation of the device, perform the following checks:
•
Connections and pin assignments
•
Supply voltage
•
Check the device by disconnecting it and testing it using an external supply
•
Check the device using a multimeter as described below
Measure the VDC output signal
Measure the following output signals:
•
0.25 ... 4.75 V
•
0.5 ... 4.5 V
•
0.5 ... 9.5 V
•
9.50 ... 0.50 V
