Next pressing the

» pictogram at LCD. In this case the

storage battery will be discharging for 30% quicker (fig. 9). With
the  help  of

  buttons  user  may  switch  on/off  the

LCD  backlight.

At next pressing  the 

«MENU»

 button 

«Ground:  normal»

pictogram  appears at  LCD (fig.22).With  the  help of   «<»  and
«>» buttons user may set  one from three («Heavy»,«Normal»,
«Light») types of the ground and, correspondingly, suppression
level of   ground  mineralization influence.

Next pressing the 

«MENU»

 button causes 

«Frequency:...»

pictogram  at  LCD  (fig.  23).  With  the  help  of    «<»  and  «>»
buttons  user  may  set  one  from  three  (MIN,  NOM,  MAX)
operating  frequencies.

After  next  pressing  the 

«MENU»

  button,  device  comes  to

operating mode. In order  to set the particular parameter, user
should press the 

«MENU»

 button required number of times. To

quit the 

«MENU»

 mode at any moment user should press the

«SENS»

 button.

To  define the  size  and  the distance  to    detected object,  the

device should be switched to appropriate mode (fig. 24) with the
help of the 

«MODE»

 button.

At pressing the 

“COMP

” button, 

“Ground compensation”

pictogram  (fig.  10)  appears  at  LCD. After  that  during  several
seconds it is necessary  to move the search head above the ground
area, free from metal objects, untill the device comes in operating
mode. In case of proper compensation, while further moving of
the  search  head  above  the  ground  the  audio  alarm  should  be
absent.

At the right bottom corner there is a triangle. After switching

on it is half-filled that corresponds to the average sensitivity. After
pressing  the 

«SENS»

  button,  sensitivity  will  be  minimal  (the

triangle will be minimum-filled).  At next pressing the sensitivity
will be maximal (the triangle will be filled completely). After  next
pressing the button the sensitivity comes back to its average level
(the  triangle  is    half-filled).  Further  process  of  the  sensitivity
changing is the same.

At  the left  bottom  corner of  LCD  there  is a  symbolic

picture of storage battery. Its filling point corresponds to its voltage
(8.2 V – fully filled, 6.0 V – unfilled).   In the mode of defining the
