DANGER

Do not cover or otherwise place combustible material on top of the product.

Do not use the product in environments subject to flammable gases, salt air, or other

corrosive gases.

Do not leave the product in a location exposed to direct sunlight, such as on a car

dashboard or next to a car window, or in a hot location, such as in an enclosed car in
hot weather or near a heater or other heat source.

Do not place the product in a fire, in an enclosed space, or near an ignition source.

WARNING

Always charge the unit by the prescribed method.

Do not pierce the LI-30 with a nail, hit it with a hammer, or step on it.

This product is designed for indoor use. Do not use it in an environment where it is

exposed to wind and rain.

Do not immerse or otherwise expose the product to water.

Do not short the terminals with wire or other metal material.

Do not subject the product to strong impacts or drop it from a high location.

Do not directly solder to the terminals.

Do not place this product in a microwave oven or a high-pressure vessel.

Do not place heavy objects on the product.

Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the product.

Do not let infants, pets, or other animals touch the product. It would be dangerous if

they licked the product, placed it in their mouth, or chewed on it, for example.

If the battery leaks liquid or emits an unusual odor, immediately move it away from any

ignition sources. Leaked electrolyte solution could cause the unit to rupture or ignite.

Do not clean it with a dry cloth or duster. Resulting static electricity could cause a

product failure or accident.

Do not use paint thinner, alcohol, or other organic solvent to clean the product.

The LI-30 battery unit is designed specifically for LVS-30 low volume pumps. Do not

use it for any products other than an LVS-30 pump.

CAUTION

If any unusual odor, heat generation, warping, or any other unusual symptom is

noticed while using, charging, or storing the LI-30 battery unit, immediately stop using
the unit and contact your Sibata representative.

Whenever possible, use a box to carry the battery unit. Carrying an uncovered battery

unit in bag, for example, could cause short-circuiting across LI-30 terminals by a
hairpin or other metal object.

Be careful to avoid pinching fingers when installing the battery unit into the LVS-30

pump.

NOTE

For extended periods of disuse, remove the battery unit from the LVS-30 pump and

store it in a location with low moisture and dust levels.

LI-30 battery units have a limited service life. If it only powers the pump for a short

time, then replace it with a new LI-30 battery unit or have it repaired.

The operating temperature range for LI-30 battery units is 0 to 40 °C for discharging or

5 to 35 °C for charging. Operating the LI-30 outside these ranges could reduce
performance, shorten the service life, or cause battery damage or deformation.

Even if the LI-30 will not be used for an extended period, charge it about once every

six months to prevent excessive discharge.

If the battery unit does not fit easily into the LVS-30 pump, do not force it. Doing so

could cause damage or an accident.
