Quite often, especially in wells equipped with ESP, sources of high
interference are acoustic noises on the part of flowline. In this case, it is
recommended to shut a casing valve of the flowline tree during
measurement, if it is not in conflict with the safety regulations and
production process. A shut valve should be provided with a warning sign,
telling it’s closed.
Upon measurement completion, the casing valve is required to be
brought to initial state. The valve should be opened in several steps to level
the pressure slowly and avoid pump supply failure. After opening the
valve, the sign should be removed.
