The blade guides provide side-to-side support to help
keep the blade straight while cutting.
Always adjust the upper and lower blade guide blocks
away from the blade before removing, installing or track-
ing a new blade.

UNPLUG the bandsaw power cord,
and NEVER work around the blade
or adjust the table while the saw
blade is moving!
To adjust the upper and lower blade guides, do these
steps:
1.
DISCONNECT BANDSAW FROM POWER!
2.
Make sure the blade is tracking properly and that it
is correctly tensioned.
3.
Familiarize yourself with the blade guide controls
shown in
Figure 29
&
30
.
4.
Loosen the rear set screw on the blade guide assem-
bly as shown in
Figure 29
and adjust the assembly in
or out until the edges of the blocks are

" behind
the blade gullets as illustrated in
Figure 31
.
5.
Retighten the set screw.
6.
Loosen the blade guide set screws (in front) and
position the guide blocks 0.004" away from the
blade.
Note:
0.004" is approximately the thickness of a dol-
lar bill.
7.
Repeat
Steps 4–6
for the lower guides.
