7-10 MANUAL TRIGGER MODE SELECTION
(1) Select Manual Trigger mode.
Refer to "7-9 AUTO TRIGGER MODE SELECTION" on page 52.
(2) Select the monitor output referring to "7-13 MONITOR OUTPUT/PULSE OUTPUT
SELECTION" on page 56.
(3) Allow to warm up for at least 15 minutes after power-up.
(4) Connect an oscilloscope to the BNC connector on the monitor front panel.
(5) Record the monitor output waveform over the full speed range.
• With an eddy current type transducer, the input waveform may deteriorate in the
high speed range due to the influence of variations of the set gap, etc. Therefore,
make sure to record the waveform over the full speed range.
(6) Determine the optimum trigger level value from the recorded waveform.
Example) With an eddy current type transducer (VK , FK , RD)
If the input waveform changes as shown below over the full
speed range, the optimum value for the trigger level is -18V.
(7) Display Trigger Level Set referring to "7-5 PARAMETER SETTING 2" on page 39.
(8) Fix the digit with the CHECK key and use the UP or DOWN key to specify the trigger level
value on the MEAS 2 display (Parameter Status). Finalize the input by pressing the SET key.
(9) Select pulse output and verify the output waveform referring to "7-13 MONITOR
OUTPUT/PULSE OUTPUT SELECTION" on page 56.
