Connecting digital tuner, etc.
The S-video cable offers you clearer images. You can hear the sound by connecting
one of the audio cable or optical digital cable. If you are using the digital tuner with
the optical output jack, you can enjoy better sound by connecting the tuner to the opti-
cal digital input jack of this unit.
To connect to the S-VIDEO jack (AV 3) with S-video cable:

Turn off the other equipment before making this connection.

Change the audio between analog and digital with the AV 3 button. (page 60)

When connecting the cable to the S-video jack of this unit, connect the other end
of the cable to the S-video jack on the TV monitor. This unit cannot convert the S-
video signals into video signals or the other way.

Insert the plugs fully to avoid fuzzy pictures or noise.
