Is there audio output signal on pins (2) and (3) of the headphone
terminal (J505)?
YES Check Headphone terminal (J505) and the connection to an
external device.
NO
Is “H” signal at base of Q527, Q526? YES Pin (D11) of IC801 (DVP-M2) should usually be “L”.
If “H” signal, check IC801 and peripheral circuits.
(MAIN-UNIT) NO
Is the audio output signal of pins (30) and (29) of IC302 (A-
CODEC) proper? YES Check pins (12) and (11) of Connector SC1203, pins (12) and
(11) of Connector P502 and peripheral circuits.
(AV-UNIT) NO
Is the audio output signal (TERMINAL-L/R) properly output from
pins (34) and (33) of IC501 (AV-SW)? YES Check pins (11) and (12) of Connector SC1202, pins (11) and
(12) of Connector P501 and peripheral circuits.
(MAIN-UNIT) NO
Is the audio output signal (MPX-A-L/R) properly output from pins
(11) and (15) of IC301 (A-Selector)? YES Check pins (9) and (10) of Connector SC1202, pins (9) and (10)
of Connector P501 and peripheral circuits.
NO
Is the audio output signal (DVPM2-L/R) properly output from pins
(B23) and (D23) of IC801 (DVP-M2)? YES Check the AUDIO signal line between IC301 and IC801, or
peripheral circuits.
NO
Check the power supply input B3.3V pins (R19) and (D5), B1.5V
pins (D12) of IC801 (DVP-M2) or peripheral circuits.
No sound except from speakers (4)-2
No audio output from EXT1 (SCART1) terminal.

Is the audio output signal (DVPM2-L/R) properly output from pins
(B23) and (D23) of IC801 (DVP-M2)? YES Check pins (20) and (21) of Connector SC1202, pins (20) and
(21) of Connector P501 and peripheral circuits.
NO
Check the power supply B3.3V pins (R19) and (D5), B1.5V pins
(D12) of IC801 (DVP-M2) or peripheral circuits.
