Using the RESET key

If the fax machine stops responding when you press any of the
operation panel keys, you must reset it. This can be done as follows:

Grasp the print compartment cover at
both sides as shown, and pull up to
open the cover.

•

Caution!

The fusing unit inside the print
compartment becomes very hot
during operation. Do not touch the
inside of the compartment or the
paper guide on the underside of the
print compartment cover.

Use a ballpoint pen to press the

RESET

button.

•

Note:

Pressing the

RESET

button

clears any documents that are stored
in memory.

Close the print compartment cover,
pressing down firmly on each side to
make sure it is completely closed.
