From Control Panel in the desktop of your notebook computer,
double-click the Infrared icon to open Infrared Monitor.

In the Status tab, make sure that Sharp Color MFP appears under
Available infrared devices in range.

In the Options tab, make sure that "Enable infrared
communication on COMX" (where X = your physical infrared
COM port number) is checked.

Make sure that your application is set to print to the Sharp Color
MFP.

Choose the Print Setup or equivalent command in your application
to view and/or change the printer setting.

Select the Print command from your application’s File menu to send
the job to print.

The IR IN USE light on the Sharp Color MFP will blink during
transmission. When transmission is completed, the Color MFP will
begin printing.

If you are using a different type of cartridge (color or black) than
that selected in Printer Manager in your notebook computer (check
the cartridge image on the Status tab to see whether the black or
color cartridge is selected), you must change the Printer Manager
cartridge selection. To change the selection, click the Cartridges tab,
the Install Cartridge button, and then select the appropriate button
for the cartridge installed.

The ink level in the print cartridge cannot be monitored from the
Color MFP Control Program in your notebook computer. (The ink
level in the cartridge image will not change to reflect actual ink
usage.)

If infrared transmission is interrupted, it will not be possible to
resume transmission by clicking Retry in the message that appears.
You will need to repeat the print operation from the beginning.
