General Information
Bluetooth communication
Bluetooth devices transmit a low 1mW signal and communicate
on a frequency of 2.45 GHz. This frequency band is also
internationally used for industrial, scientific and medical devices
(ISM). The low power limits the communication range to about 10
meters (30 feet). However the communication range may be
reduced due to electromagnetic environment and obstacles found
within the 10 meters radius.
Below conditions cause loss of signal quality and communication
range.
- There are obstacles such as human bodies or metal objects.
- Other devices using the same frequency band are in use (eg:
cordless phones, microwave oven, medical devices and
wireless LAN device).
- The unit is placed on a steel or other metal cabinet.
When this unit is placed too near a Wireless LAN device or
microwave, noise interference may occur, causing crackling
sound. It may also reduce the communication speed and cause
invalid connection. If these happen, do the following:
- Place the unit at least 10 meters away from the Wireless LAN
device.
- Turn off the Wireless LAN device if it is less than 10 meters
away.
- Place the unit closer to the Bluetooth source device.
Avoid using this unit in hospitals. The microwaves emitted may
affect the electronic medical devices.
This unit supports security capabilities which comply with the
Bluetooth standard enabling a secure Bluetooth wireless
connection. However the security level may vary depending on
the setting. Please be careful when using
Bluetooth wireless
technology.
SHARP is not responsible for any information leakage during
Bluetooth communication.
Connection with all Bluetooth devices is not guaranteed.
- A device which features Bluetooth functionality is required to
comply with the Bluetooth standard, specified by Bluetooth SIG,
and be authenticated.
- Even if the device complies with the above Bluetooth standard,
specific devices may not connect or work correctly. This is due
to the feature and specification of the device.
Notes when using unit with a mobile phone
This unit cannot be used to talk over the telephone even when
there is a
Bluetooth connection made to a mobile phone.
Please refer to the operating manual supplied with the mobile
phone for details on operation of your mobile phone whilst
transmitting the sound using a
Bluetooth connection.
