Where a shielded cable is used, the shield is only connected to the earth terminal in the leakage
probe.
(4) If the connection line is laid underground in a sheath-pipe, the inlet and the outlet of the sheath-
pipe must be closed in a gastight manner, in order to prevent explosive vapours from being
'carried over'.
