Danger of burning
Sausages, and specifically the fat they contain, may
burn. There is, as a matter of principle, always a risk of
fire, while the appliance is switched on:
•
Ensure that the appliance is not positioned or opera-
ted near or below combustible materials (eg curtains,
wall cupboards). The area above the sausage slot
must always be unobstructed (minimum clearance,
1 metre).
• Do not place the appliance on any easily inflammable
surfaces (eg paper towels).
• Do not cover the sausage slots.
•
The appliance must only be used for simultaneous
grilling and keeping warm a maximum of two sausa-
ges. Do not place any other items such as bread rolls
or other bakery products on the appliance for warming
or crisping.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during grilling.
• Should the appliance nevertheless catch fire, extingu
-
ish the fire by smothering the flames. Caution: Do not
use water under no circumstances.
