This option allows you to either connect an external microphone to the device or connect a
line in cable from other sources. The external microphone could be quite beneficial in a large
room where the microphone could be directed towards the source of the sound or content
you want to record and if you would like to use a higher quality microphone than the built-in
option. The line in or microphone would be connected using the microphone jack located on
the right side of the front panel of the device (to the right of the USB connection).
With focus in the Record menu, Down Arrow to External Recording Settings and use the Left
or Right Arrow key to move between External Microphone and Line In. Press the OK key to
confirm your selection or press the Esc key to cancel the operation.
Note: If an external microphone is plugged in, the internal microphone is automatically disabled.

Noise Cancellation
This option tries to reduce the noise interference when doing a recording. With focus in the
Record menu, Down Arrow to Noise Cancellation and use the Left or Right Arrow key to move
between Enable and Disable. Press the OK key to confirm your selection or press the Esc key
to cancel the operation.

System Settings
With focus in the main directory of the device, press the Menu key to open a list of system settings
including Time Settings, System Voice, Alarms, Resume Play Settings, FM Transmitter Settings,
Recording Settings, Tools and Default Factory Settings among others.
12.1.
Version Information
Select Version Information to get the serial number of the device, the currently installed firmware
version and the release date. This information cannot be deleted.
12.2.
Device Information
Select this option to get the capacity and remaining space of the internal memory and the MicroSD
card if one is inserted in the device.
12.3.
Time Settings
This option allows you to set the time and date and includes other options like Idle Power Off, Auto
Power Off, Timed Power On and Automatic Time Announcement among others.
