PRODUCT SAFETY

IMPORTANT

The mains lead of this product is not replaceable by the user. If the mains lead  

is damaged, the entire appliance should be returned to an Authorised Service Centre  

for repair.

Please read these instructions carefully before using your kettle for the first time and 

retain for future reference. 

•  Make sure that the voltage indicated on the rating plate (located on the  

underside of both the kettle and power base) is the same as your household 

supply. If not, do not use the kettle and return it to the place of purchase.

•  This appliance can be used by children from 8 years and above and persons 

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience or 

knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of 

the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall 

not play with appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by 

children without supervision.

•  Boiling water and steam can cause serious burns. Always place your kettle on a 

flat, stable surface and only use the power base supplied.

•  Always allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning or storing.

•  To prevent electrical hazards, never put the kettle or power base in water (or any 

other liquids) and do not allow water to penetrate electrical parts.

•  Ensure that the kettle and its power cable are kept well out of the reach of  

children and pets. Close supervision in necessary when the appliance is used 

near children.

•  The outside surface will get very hot during use. Always take great care when 

handling your kettle.

•  Always ensure that the kettle is switched off before removing from  

the power base.

•  Beware of steam being emitted from the spout or lid, especially during refilling.

•  Fill with water to the maximum mark, bring the water to the boil and discard 

the boiled water. Repeat two or three times. This will ensure that your kettle is 

perfectly clean.
