Intended Use
The drive is an electro-mechanical machine. The drive must only be fitted positively in blind rail systems
(headrail) made of suitable metal or plastic in the horizontal axis position. The drive output of the actuator
must be aligned with the drive rod of the Venetian blind system. Any use beyond this is deemed to be not
intended. The installer and / or the operator and / or the user of the installation are solely liable for
damages resulting from this.
Intended use also includes compliance with the safety, operating and maintenance and maintenance
instructions described in this original operating manual.
The use in sealed multi-glazing is prohibited.
Only use the SIS drive for interior Venetian blinds.

Drives for low voltage applications generally have only an operational insulation. If an SMI interface is
connected to a low-voltage drive, it must be ensured that there is no risk of an insufficient separation of
the signal lines from the mains.
Danger by connecting the mains voltage and the small voltage circuit. Danger to life by
electric shock:
Do not switch SIS 25 / 0.65 SMI-LoVo drives in parallel with SMI drives for mains
voltage.
Only connect SIS 25 / 0.65 SMI-LoVo drives to actuators with SMI-LoVo characters.
No plug connection is required for the connection of SMI-LoVo drives.
Do not use the STAS / STAK4 connector from Hirschmann. Use a different connector.
