9.3. Operation of the device
The OLED display shows the current temperature in degrees
Celsius. If the measured temperature is less than 60°C, the
backup light illuminates in green. If the measured tem-
perature is greater than 60°C, the backup light illuminates
in red. If the temperature measured is larger than 380°C,
the message "Attention Done" appears on the display and
the backup light flashes red.
The battery symbol display shows the current battery status.
If the message "Low-Bat" appears on the display, the battery
must be charged.
Operation:
To determine the temperature the device is woken up with
a strong shake and pointed at the object.
The surface temperature of the object can now be read on
the display.
Bear in mind the ratio of distance to point size and take
the field of view into account. As distance from the object
grows, the surface of the area measured by the device
increases. When the device is on, the laser can be switched
off and then on again at any time through a shaking move-
ment. After 60 seconds, the Lasertemp switches itself off
automatically.
