If you are installing your pump on an
older Captive-Air tank with small pump
mounting bracket, use a package N198-3
adapter bracket for a firmer installation.
Package includes adapter and all required
hardware. Bolt adapter to pump mounting
bracket and pump to adapter bracket with
carriage bolts provided in kit.
This pump may have a spacer shim inserted
inside the impeller hub to assure correct
running clearance between impeller and
seal plate (see illustration at left).
This shim may stick inside impeller hub
when impeller is removed.
When removing impeller, look for this
shim; if it is used, make sure to save it and
replace it when reassembling pump.
