HOW TO INSTALL
THE DEFLECTOR CONROL KNOB
1.
Assemble the
deflector control knob
onto the
deflector
2.
Make sure
lip
on the
deflector control knob
is pointed
toward the engine.
3.
Tighten the
nut
against the bottom of the
deflector
control knob.

Assemble Remote Deflector Cable
1. Attach rod (1, Figure 12) to deflector post.
2. Slide compression spring (2) over rod and insert
into hole on chute deflector bracket.
3. Attach remote deflector cable (3) to deflector post.
Secure with push nut (4).
NOTE: Before completing Step 4, make sure that the
chute deflector is in the full open position.
4. Route remote deflector cable (3) through slot in chute
deflector bracket. Secure with nuts (5) and washers
on either side of bracket.
5. Check remote deflector chute for proper operation.
Make adjustments as necessary.
1. Turn crank assembly (Figure 2) until the arrow
on outer ring (2, Figure 11) of chute ring as-
sembly points forward.
NOTE: The chute ring assembly (1) comes installed
on the unit from the factory (see Figure 11).
NOTE: Make sure the slot in the chute ring aligns
with the arrow on the outer ring.
2. Install chute deflector (3) using four screws
(4) and nuts (5) in holes as shown. The chute
deflector must point forward for proper
installation.
3. Tighten screws snugly but be careful not to
over-tighten.
