In cool mode, if the unit displays “E4”, this indicates that the indoor coil is not less than the
room temperature – 5.4
º F for over 5 minutes. Unit will enter protect mode and shut down.
When unit is started in heat mode, if the compressor runs for more than 20 minutes and the coil
temperature has not reached sufficient temperature, the Unit will enter protect mode, display
“E4”, and shutdown.
When operating in heat mode, If the compressor runs continuous for more than 35 minutes,
and the indoor fan hasn’t started, the unit will enter protect mode, display “E4”, and shut
down.
After the compressor continuous running over twenty minutes and inside blower fan
continuous stop running or compressor continuous running and inside blower fan stop
continuous 35 minutes at first turn on in heating mode, system display E4 and shut down.
1.10 Error codes
This unit has advanced diagnostics and monitoring, and can provide information to the user in
the event of a problem with the operation of the system. The codes produced are explained
below.
E4 in the Cooling mode indicates low refrigerant.
